Single yet Contented

*This is an entry for the February Blog of the Month Competition.*
First thing first, to be honest, “Being Single” is not an option- quite specifically For FJites, in an all-female institute, it’s our fate! (No offence intended)
Being single is a medal for a Pakistani youngster until approximately the age of 25, and then, it becomes a curse and a nightmare, as in the sense,
"Na chaand rahay ga, na sitaray rahain gey
Kya hum saari zindagi kunwaray rahain ge?"
~Truck poetry; Unknown

Anyways, single life does have its benefits; you save money to spend on literally everything, buy chocolates only for yourself, feel independent and self-owned to quite an extent (unless you’ve got over-protective guardians) and most importantly, you don’t need to be a superficial and a duplicitous cartoon among your different social groups...
These are some of the best reasons I satisfy myself with when I get hit by a forever-single life complex or when I imagine myself being a spinster putting in my dentures (quite a pessimistic picture, right?). But, besides our religious and social norms that constantly try to keep us in a halal social circle, I personally think it is the best option one gets if one doesn’t want to complicate the self-ownership of oneself.
As for the cons of being single, there are always the insecurities and the nervousness around opposite gender, one of the most fascinatingly underestimated states one can ever imagine of.
So the most plausible things for us include:
1. Rock it the way it is!

2- Make it work- the other way around by finding The One! (though it requires a hell of a rational and aimed mindset for a healthy relationship...)
So, fellas! Let your sassy and narcissistic soul rise and Shine!
“Wanted by many, taken by none, looking at some, waiting for the one.”

  1. The way you've used puns around are quite interesting but the fact that being an FJITE keeps us single isn't much satisfying... I mean i have a whole circle around me whose mingle and are in quite a long distance as well as immediate relationships ... It depends solely on your need and thinking weather you wanna be single or get mingled
