One of the highlights of the year in FJMU is the Annual Sports Day. This year it was held on March 8th and was one of the best sports days in the history of the university. The Sports Club headed by the very hardworking President Feride Bulgur made it all possible! Great job, Feride and co.!

The first thing that comes to mind when one hears the name Fatima Jinnah is of course the fact that she was the sister of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, then follows a mental image of a tall handsome woman standing beside the Quaid himself. Amazingly, one cannot even visualize Fatima Jinnah without thinking about her brother. Why is that so? Was being a sister and lifelong companion to the Founder of our nation the only thing we remember her for? What do we really know about Fatima Jinnah? Hopefully, this article has been written to enlighten you about the many attributes and accomplishments of Fatima Jinnah, who has always been over-shadowed by her brother. Held on April 20th, 2017, the Shanawar Arts and Photography Society (SAPS) held the first of its kind inter-collegiate arts and photography gala. We congratulate the Presidents, Fatima Nadeem and Ayesha Sajid along with their remarkable team on holding such an amazing event. Kudos to you guys!

I come from a family of doctors so becoming another one was no shocker. I was destined for it although I am not denying the hard work and effort I put in. I am sure all of you doctors can relate to the struggle - of getting good marks in SSC/GCSE, Fsc/GCE and then MCAT, of joining multiple academies in the hope of outshining and securing a place in the public sector (those who seek admission in the private sector have to go through additional ordeals of applying everywhere, giving tests and interviews and paying a hefty sum annually) . My point is - no one has it easy. We come after facing a lot of obstacles considering the tough competition, the financial burden and most importantly: the mental stress. But this journey has just begun. As soon as we step into a medical school, our main aim is to thrive.
