LIGHT IT UP! (Lantern Night 2018)

"The background was tinted with shades of red, purple, pink, yellow and orange. Diverse flickering colors radiated from the lanterns. The melody in the background added fuel to the emotions coursing through everyone's veins every time a lantern would successfully take a flight.
The inner 10 year old was given the joy of the glowing candle soaring high across the sky that not only brought pleasure to their eyes but also gave them memories for a lifetime."

LIGHT IT UP '18

The Annual Lantern Night 2018 was an evening students of FJMU organized for a noble cause in a refreshing way.

With the burden of tests, substages and the ominous prof months, we all deserve a break once in a while. This night was a great way to kick off those OT shoes, slam our Big Robins' shut and feed our bodies and souls with relaxation.

The event commenced with the first lantern lit up by our honorable vice chancellor himself.

LIGHT IT UP was held as a fund raising charity event that not only gave the participants a chance to enjoy the dazzling flames in the darkness of the hostel grounds but also perform a noble, humanitarian task.

The funds collected through the lanterns bought will be given to the department of gynecology SRGH, Lahore in order contribute to the development of its induction room.

There is darkness in life and there is light.
If you are the light, then spread it:
For a little light can bring hope
and isn't it the hope that we are all hanging on to?

A big round of applause for the event organizers: Rameesha Azam, Nosheen Farooq, Aleena Mehmood, Laiba Tariq, Ayesha Rehman.
