Can't We Be Kids Again?
Their innocence, liveliness, their forgiving nature - everything about kids is perfect. They are pure from all the impurities of the world. They never hold back their emotions whether it be happiness, grief or anger. They express it, which is the need of the hour.
The longer you hold in your emotions within you, the longer you will suffer. Don't conceal your happiness from the world. Don't hesitate to tell anyone that they have hurt you and you are angry with them. Don't feel reluctant in forgiving someone or taking the initiative to talk to someone first after a fight. We have seen kids fight, hurt each other, say some of the meanest things but we have also observed them sorting the matter by talking, by telling that they didn't like the way someone behaved and forgiving one another the very next moment; playing joyfully and carelessly as if nothing had ever happened amongst them. They may be the worst of enemies one moment but the very next, they become the best of friends. They share their anxieties and worries with each other and have a tendency to dissipate the tension.
Recently a video went viral on social media in which a girl is seen showing her new foot to her fellows and look how happy the kids are after seeing her! Their emotions can only be realized by how they hug her and run along with her! Their faces beaming with joy! This video shows that the real happiness doesn't necessarily come from your own achievements but one can find joy in the success of others too!
I remember seeing a little girl in Kashmir whom we offered some sweets and the first thing she did was to share them among her friends. This made me think would I have done the same?
In so many other incidents kids can be an ideal example of how one should behave. Their innocent smile and their pure hearts which find happiness in all the moments of life is what the perturbed human needs.
The moment we all stop comparing and being jealous of one another's achievements is the point when we can discover our true self. Sadly its a natural human behaviour to be jealous of one another and to envy what others have. This world is a mess just because everyone is trying to surpass one another and in this race of getting ahead from others humanity has been ignored and left behind.
Brothers shed the blood of brothers. Sisters never share the same bond that caused them to be one another's support and to shield one another from every harm.
The same sisters and brothers who used to protect one another during childhood so that they may not get scolded by the parents, never hesitated to lie to parents and even took the blame of one another's misdoings to shield the younger one from getting rebuked, be himself/herself the reason of the other one getting hurt, cause mental agony and pain to one another, break ties with one another on some petty issues, do not talk to one another for months or even years!
Contrary to what most people believe getting older only causes a person to become less mature and more of an egoistic person who can bring down mountains and hills to satisfy his ego. He forgets all his relations, all the good moments, all the sacrifices done for one other and remembers only his ego and his this unforgiving nature causes the most harm to himself as well as to his loved ones!
Kids forget, forgive, move on and ease the tension!
Never keep the things in your heart whether it is happiness grief or anger. Unless you tell people what the problem is about, it will remain unsolved. It is better to say whatever you feel to a person on his face than to keep grudges within! Either forgive the person or say what you feel about him.
Whenever you find yourself in some difficult situation think like a child. Think what a child could have done in your place and that's when you would make the wisest decision!
